SUMMARY:Optimizing Your Creative Potential Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Mendocino Art Center\, Mendocino\, California  \nA two-day workshop in connection with yourself to find creativity\, joy and well-being. How will you participate? \nThis is an invitation to engage with yourself in the presence of others within a professionally facilitated group aimed at enriching and optimize your creativity. We all have it; the potential to lose ourselves in the “flow” of creativity\, whether through sketching\, painting\, sculpting\, cooking\, dancing\, writing\, or moving rocks around a garden.  It is well established\, that these states of “flow” bring us joy\, well-being and positive sense of self.  Occasionally\, we also produce art. \nSometimes however\, we might struggle with an urge to create and not be able to. It may be situational\, developmental (stage of life)\, or having to do with the stories we tell ourselves about our value or talent. We may be plagued as if with an itch we cannot scratch\, with a sense of longing\, feeling ourselves restless even as stay stuck\, unable to create\, perhaps\, not knowing what to create or\, where to start. This feeling\, when prolonged can lead to self-blame or even\, despondency. The many ways we stay stuck or\, keep ourselves stuck\, seeps into everything\, impacting sense of self\, personal relationships\, and professional life. \nThis two-day workshop will provide a supportive\, meaningful and playful group environment to help recognize and dismantle the obstacles that might stand in the way of your own creativity. Through your participation; engaging in conversation\, journaling\, group exercises and multi-media creative activities\, you will connect to your vast capacity for sensory awareness and inner joy\, leading to increased awareness\, and personal and artistic empowerment.  In the process of this workshop\, you will find everlasting tools to optimize your creative potential in all of its forms\, and throughout your lifetime at all stages and ages.

Meditation\, breath work\, and mindfulness practices within the context of exploration of rich Costa Rican geography\, topography\, wildlife and culture deepen attunement to self and other\, intra-psychically and interpersonally. \n
