Approach To Therapy
Dr. Wolfson describes her approach as follows:
I am a seasoned psychotherapist who has been working with individuals, families and groups of all ages and backgrounds for over two decades. Choosing psychotherapy is an important step towards enhancing the quality of your life and your future with the help of a trained, competent and experienced professional. In making the decision, it is most important to honor how you feel when you are sitting and sharing about your self with that person.
Because everyone is unique, I do not ascribe to set formulas or pre-conceived approaches for helping someone find solutions and achieve goals. Your specific situation is what matters, and to this I give careful, non-judgmental attention. The process is direct, supportive, and interactive, allowing for openness and meaningful exploration of all aspects of your life including mind-body-spirit and the context of your environment. The process is to focus on your objectives and identify alternatives to what is currently not working in order to achieve well-being and quality of life however that is defined and experienced by you.
